History of Eumeralla
Accommodation

Eumeralla offers the ideal location for your next camp as it is set on a picturesque 130 acres of natural bush with panoramic ocean views. There are two managers who live onsite and are contactable at all times.
Here at Eumeralla we offer an array of different accommodation options depending on your groups needs, ranging from fully equipped houses, cabins and bush camping.
Bunk Style Accommodation
Environment Centre
Built in 1999, the Environment Centre is a multipurpose building designed to replace the old cub pack holiday centre. It accommodates up to 40 people (6 cabins of 6 + 2 bunkrooms of 2). This facility has a large undercover deck where groups can gather for various purposes. The building has a large area for indoor multi-purpose uses, along with a fully equipped commercial kitchen and dining area.
Troop Hall
This building was relocated from the Naval Base at Williamstown. It accommodates up to 54 people (4 cabins of 12) and includes an internal bunk room sleeping 6. This facility has a fully equipped commercial kitchen plus a dining area named after Antarctic explorer Doctor Phillip Law. The main hall area, which can be used for inside activities, has decoration which is attributed to the Nauru / Boss Hurst association.
(Ball games must NOT be played in this area).

This building also contains the training annexe, used by Geelong region for training and adult development.
Headquarters
Originally set up for accommodating Scout Duty Patrols, the building was originally situated at the Camp Gate, before being moved up the hill to its present site. Headquarters accommodates up to 12 people in 3 rooms, (1 bunkroom of 8 , 2 bunkrooms of 2).
The Lodge
Originally built as part of the training centre at Eumeralla “The Lodge” is still used for accommodation. The Lodge accommodates up to 12 people (1 bunkroom of 8 and 1 bunkroom of 4).
Bush Camping Sites
Money Box and Cyril Smith Camping
The name “Money Box” was coined from our dear friend ‘Jim Money’ the mentor of Scouting in Geelong. It is now used as a base for scout activities and is adjacent to the Cyril Smith camping area.
Fernery
A picturesque camping ground set amongst the Australian bush.
